Telescope Training at the Strawbridge Observatory

Hello everyone! Its your friendly neighborhood Strawbridge Public Observing Team here. We run open-house events at Haverfords Observatory and would like to invite you all to our events this semester. This Saturday, come to our semesterly telescope training night! From 7 to 9:00 p.m. on September 20th we will be opening up the 12, and breaking out the 8 telescopes for anyone interested in being trained on their use. No prior experience is required, we just ask that you come ready to play (responsibly) with some fun, expensive equipment and see some really cool things.
To get to the observatory, turn right as you exit the bus, going back down the road towards the soccer field until you see our Observatory, the building with two big domes. We recommend taking the 6:30 p.m. blue bus, as coming late risks missing out on the fun. Love astronomy, but dont want to fiddle with telescopes?
Well also have a series of public open-house nights at the Observatory this semester, you can find out more at the link below! We host telescope viewings, run activities and science demos, and share talks on the science behind our universe.
Best, The Strawbridge Public Observing Team
